This was shared to me by my sister. The message is so good to be kept only in my inbox. And timely as Holy week began.

What I've relearned about the season of Lent from a priest one Sunday during the mass is that it's not actually a season of change, but about pagbabalik.  And if we want to rise again from the ashes, healing may be a part of our process.  So let me share this one.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Today's words of encouragement are for those in need of healing. We may feel like the most secure person in the world, but I pray we would let our guard down right now so we can receive and hear from the Lord.No matter what, ALL OF US NEED SEASONS OF HEALING.

If we have never walked in seasons of healing, then most likely the Lord has been trying to talk to us. The Lord uses this season to grow intimate with us. No matter how hurt we may be, I pray we would turn to the Lord's healing hands versus relying on our own strength to resolve. The Lord is not man made! God's healing hands have the power to transform our lives.

I pray we would not try to heal our scars, wounds, hurts and pains with our own strength. IT WILL NEVER HEAL PROPERLY. Only our Lord Jesus Christ has the power to heal our wounds. If we are hurting right now, I pray we would turn to the Lord.

I pray we would never miss this season of healing. If we have tried to heal our hurts and pains on our own, it does not work. Only God has the power to heal our broken hearts. The Lord our God is simply asking us to lay down our pride, guard, and wisdom. When are we going to admit we are useless without God?

Are we prepared to walk into a season of healing? We will know when we have, because the Lord will convict our hearts and we will see our adversaries and enemies in a different way. The definition of love becomes more real.

1 Peter 2:24 "He Himself bore our sins" in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by His wounds we have been healed."

May we be healed and be ready to create ourselves anew.  God bless!
