Hello my Belles!

When all the bags were unpacked, photos from my camera were uploaded - some shared, some hidden on my memory bank - it's time for some serious work to do. It's the memory reload of the details you are all most probably interested with.

"This is how we do it" kind of thing is one of the reasons why I write. More than the updates on my whereabouts, my styles on my travel, adventures I made, it's the travel tips that I find practical to share along with tons of my silly poses and awkward pictures. Haha.

So, let's answer those what's and how's on your beautiful heads.

How to Get There?

Misibis Bay Resort is an exclusive resort in Cagraray Island in the province of Albay, Bicol region. To get to Albay, you can drive the south road for about 9 hours from Manila. Or by air, for about an hour if without any air-related delays. Me and my friends took the air flight to Legaspi via Tiger Airways then going back thru Cebu Pacific Air. Two-way airfare costs Php 2250 per head.

From the airport, we hired the transfer service of the resort. Two-way transfer fee is Php 750 per head. It's about an hour drive of all paved roads and lots of natural landscape.

What to Do When in Misibis?

Aside from the obvious, the resort offers excellent amenities. There are water activities they offer at a separate price such as snorkeling, Hobie Cat sailing, windsurfing, jetskiing and kayaking. For serene relaxation, a complete menu for spa can be availed.

For indoor fun, there is also an activity center for adults and children that's away from the sun. For the active and fitness enthusiast, a fitness center is also available.

An add-on that we took from the resort is the eco-tour. It's priced at Php 150 per head. It's a quick tour to the eco park near the resort where you'll see the famous Chapel overlooking the lake surrounding Mayon Volcano, the famous Amphitheater, and the playgrounds for some serious exploring and adventures.

If you feel like like screaming to the top of your lungs while having a bird's eye view of what this bay's natural beauty is all made of, riding the zipline will be the activity for you. Or explore the area and get an ample vitamin D from the sun thru riding the ATVs, Segways or Dune Buggies.

Obviously, it wasn't our day to be boyish. We opted the girly stuff and just relaxed on our room after.

What are the expenses inside the resort?

The published hotel rate for an overnight accommodation for 4 adults starts at USD 900. The room we got has indoor jacuzzi and private dining setup for indoor and outdoor veranda and is priced regularly at USD 1200. Deal we purchased was good enough for about Php 15500/night only, good for 4 persons from Deal Grocer.

Aside from accommodation, food is the next common expenses when in the resort. Breakfast buffet cost Php 950 per head while on lunch and dinner, we ordered ala carte food. Plated menu are priced at Php 350 and up. The food is good. You'll get what you pay for.

What to Wear?

It's a luxury resort so wear those pretty bikinis and water sports gear you all look good at. For the footwear, I find my jelly slippers quite stylish and very light, too.

Bring the essentials like sunblock lotions, sunnies, wide brim hat, light change clothes and your wallet. I could not stress more how important it is to bring that last one. To enlighten you why, read my 2-Day Photo Diary of Misibis Bay.  *wink *wink

  5. If you look into the price alone, it might cost a little too much for a night's stay but if you see the amenities and the beautiful accommodation you'd be staying in, it becomes worth it. Misibis Bay Resort is definitely worthy of consideration.
