Cheers! With the "new year" on our mind, we are excited about setting new goals for ourselves. It's always good to plan but as days, weeks, months go by, you forget about it and you're back to same old, same you. It isn't wrong to be just you but even there's nothing wrong on you, there is always, always something you would like to work on and improve in yourself.

Are you happy now with your weight? Your job? Your business? Your style? Your relationships? If you're contented with everything in your life now, that's great! But if you'd like to make some changes to improve an area in your life you're not contented yet, change must start somewhere. Well, to change be in good times or on challenging circumstances, I'd like you to have a good year. Because I want it for myself, too. Whatever you'd like to improve on to your life now, let's design our year with a great plan so we can achieve great results.

Are you ready?

Here are my simple and doable scheme for this year. I'm warning you, it may be simple but I hope it's all easy to do. Here it is.

1. Journal plans for the year.

This is basic. To have a wonderful year, you've got to have long-term plans. And writing it down will make you see and read everyday what you're planning to achieve for this year. It is necessary to break it down into something doable and realizable so you won't get overwhelmed nor discouraged.

2. Be always grateful.

Preparing your spirit is also important to achieve a great year. And being appreciative is one way to make it great. Express gratitude to God. Write it down on a journal (physical or digital) what you're thankful for in a day. Expressing it by saying out loud or thru a silent prayer for Him and to someone we're thankful for is expressing and attracting positive energy.

3. Forgive.

Okay, it's not too easy to forget and forgive others who have hurt us. But the only way to move forward to better circumstances is when we learn to let go of the grudges we had for the others who've caused us pain. Move on and don't let the negastars dampen you.

4. Do self-care.

I'll listen more to my body and pamper it a bit more. Whenever, I feel like needing a rest, I'll do it. Doing the necessary things like a "me time" to relax and refresh will keep us physically strong. And it is essential to keep us going.

5. Be generous.

If you would ask me how I'd been generous, it's sharing informations to others that I find valuable and inspiring to share. For example, I've added more words to live by on my Instagram posts and I hope to share more that will inspire others. There are other things we can practice generosity especially in this world where hatred seems to be enveloping the world now. Be generous in giving understanding, patience, kindness or sympathy to others.

6. Laugh often.

I know it's easy to do so but as you grow older, situations where you find yourself disappointed of the outcome are plenty and that could sour your mood. By aiming to find funny things on situations like that, you'll laugh more often. And what do they say about laughter? It's the best medicine. Take things easy and have a light heart!

7. Do the things you love.

And do it with passion. If it is something good, achieve it by giving the best you can. No more mediocrity now. We all have our own standards in life, we need not to resort on the validations of others to know if what you do is good enough. Do things that will make you proud of yourself and this year will be full of abundance, prosperity and happiness for you.

These are my 7 ways to make this year my best ever. I know it will create more to-do's but everything that is worthwhile needs hard work to the very least.

My wish is for us to live our year with positive energy! Make it the best!

  1. If there's one thing that I will do this year is to dowhat I love. For the longest time, I always do things out of duty or necessity without any consideration to what I really want to do. Right now I'm studying Japanese.

  4. There are so many things that one could do to make it a better year. In the end, I think there is only one fundamental core that every single person needs to do. Investing in one's self, not only in skills, but more so on the attitude. And that means to keep growing and develop the habits and attitudes that makes a person better.

    1. Thanks, Sir Robert. That pretty much supplements this post. :) Having a check and balance on the core values of oneself will make your soul better which keeps one going to achieve whatever physical things one needs to ahieve. Willingness of ones spirit is half of the work; getting your body fit is another. Forming good habits to suceed is working out the inner self and I agree on you that one is essential to make one better. Very good points as always!

  5. Mula take home is to have a journal plan for the year, it's more on having a great faith to accomplish what I really wanted for this year but with hardwork and prayer, nothing is impossible with Him our Almighty God, and lastly taking out grudges in me, I'm not that really a person who keeps grudges but lately its struggle for me, I'm trying not to but I find it hard, but I'm always lifting it up on my prayers everyday for this concern

  6. This is a nice list for someone who wants to improve their inner being. The only thing I want to improve on this year is my weight. Once I get to achieve that, I am happy. But best of luck to us on our goals! No matter what it is, let's keep in mind that nothing is impossible to achieve.

  8. I love everything you've included in your list. A lot of people are including "be thankful" and "be grateful" in their lists and I absolutely dig it! With this list as our guide, I am sure this will be just another wonderful year for everyone! And, yes, I am all for journaling plans as they make them more tangible and achievable if you see them written down on paper!

Cheers to making this year our best yet! ^_^
